The platelet rich plasma is then activated and placed in a syringe to inject into the scalp to the depth of the hair follicle. The injections will be focused in the areas of thinning.

The PRP is typically injected in a grid-like pattern over the areas of thinning to ensure maximum coverage. PRP is then applied topically and a microneedling procedure is used to further activate the follicles. The microneedling procedure creates thousands of microscopic pathways in the scalp allowing the PRP to penetrate further resulting in a higher concentration of growth stimulant.
